After 20 years of plans and anticipation, our new Mixed-Use Building is one step closer to lining the busy Route 50 corridor in Glenville. We recently received preliminary approval from the Glenville planning board, meaning it won’t be long before we break ground.
With our new building, we’ll continue to make Glenville and Schenectady County a great place to live, work, and play.
Here’s an excerpt from a recent article in The Business Review by reporter Michael DeMasi:
The scope, design and cost of the project are much grander than the buildings in Socha Plaza, Socha Plaza South, and Shady Lane Apartments, all of which were developed by the Socha family over the past 60 years.
Socha, 51, who grew up in the business with his father, Walter, is president of Socha Management Inc.
He is convinced the timing is right for the new development given the growth in Schenectady County and surrounding area.
